Leadership in Business World

Leadership in business world are a set of skills required in the constantly changing business environment. With current technological advances, digitization has rapidly increased the pace of change. Change is necessary to remain relevant in business, yet many organizations' F.E.A.R. change.

As a leader, the job demands making complex and often challenging decisions, knowing someone may not benefit from the decision. There will be winners and losers, and this can be hard. But this is what we as leaders have signed up for and why we serve.

Therefore, to me, then, we better get it right. There is much riding on how effectively we lead. By understanding obstacles and, more importantly, the benefits, leaders can better assess the situation and available options.

As leaders, we are challenged regularly and often do not have the answers at the moment. Often leaders require input from the team to arrive at the correct answer. To me, this ongoing process of leading is the benefit. Leadership is a practice.

"What are the benefits of one-degree styled leadership, you ask?"

To me, there are many ongoing benefits. I will not make a listing in this piece. Instead, I will ask questions for your reflection. I ask you to find a peaceful, happy place and hunker in for a bit. Take a few moments to center yourself and clear your mind. Allow your brain to rest a moment and breathe.

I wish you to reflect on these simple questions for a good while. This is not a speed race but a moment to reconnect and realign with yourself. We often forget about ourselves in the day-to-day weed race we lead. In the weeds, in the helicopter, problems, solutions, and all the rest.
