Without Vision, I believe humans are left blowing aimlessly in the wind—rudderless in turbulent water.  That being said, a company’s strategic vision describes what?  Let's frame it up a bit together.

Leadership framework matters, systems matter, people matter more!

Understanding your unique role in the organization with absolute clarity is key to effectively executing in any role.  Clearly defined organizational vision, mission, and values are the foundation for effective managerial leadership, as they enable sound decision-making and positive outcomes.

The fear of public speaking is overrated. 

I hate to break it to you, but this fear does not even rank on the top 10 fears in the modern world.  This surprised me as well as I researched for this piece.  Instead,  things like spiders, snakes, dogs, not being good enough, risk, failure, rejection, all rank - but not public speaking.  In the modern functioning business world public speaking skills are essential for success for any business leader.

To me, communication is very personal. How we effectively communicate with others matters on many levels. In the end, being an effective communicator is the goal. To outwardly convey a message, that is received as intended, with desired awareness or action taken. In a nutshell, there it is.

Every great leader starts by defining the Culture of their team and organization. The Culture is determined by thinking about the organization's Mission, Vision, and values as well as why it does what it does. Sometimes, even more importantly, how it does what it does and by what rules it behaves!

Every leader must make time to do this! These behaviors determine team engagement.

Statistics share facts and essential truths, and the truth is that we should all invest in our people!

Active Listening in the workplace (and the rest of life) does not come naturally for many--myself included, and I lead this group! Those who master this skill build better relationships, find more meaningful clarity, achieve goals, maximize potential, and develop superior problem-solving skills. For these reasons alone, and there are several more, we as leaders must enhance our listening skills.

I do not know about you, but I do not like being or feeling stuck! However, I do find myself from time to time in a stagnate state. Stagnate in mindset and action. I believe this to be a function of lack of discipline and inattention to results. Or ... just being human!

From a personal standpoint, to be innovative might seem to be fake or not being yourself. But to be the same person 5 years from now does not seem too smart either.  To be authentically innovative from a personal standpoint sounds much better.
